I think it is a statistical anomaly, unless that is the general theory that dark colors are better for a more complete data than lighter. This does not mean you can not paint. In this case, be as bright red or sapphire blue depths nice, but really it is a matter of personal taste. Some people feel better in warm colors (red, orange, etc.) and some are better with cool colors (blue, red and purple cool).
